The Master Schedule will be available by

November 1, 2017.  All conflicts must be approved in advance of accepting the role.


Valid conflicts include graduate school auditions, required classes for graduation, illness, and important family matters.


Vocal Coaching with Professor Hasson will occur in the Fall semester and will be scheduled using this form.  IMPORTANT:  You must keep all scheduled coaching times as the opera program pays $60 an hour whether you show up or not.


The Director is Leland Kimball, former Artistic Director of Delaware Opera.


The opera rehearses from January 22-March 3, 2018.


The schedule for opera is:


Monday: off

(except for Opera Intensive and Production Week)


Tuesday-Friday:  4:30-6:30pm & 7:30-9:30pm


Saturdays 1-5pm


The Opera Intensive will take place from January 22-January 27, 2018


The sing-through from memory will take place on January 22nd.  You will receive a grade for this performance.  Staging will begin immediately following.


This form should be sent at the same time as accepting your role.

Miami Opera Theater


Miami Opera is an important part of the rich and diverse musical experiences that Miami University has to offer.  Miami music majors have the opportunity to assume leadership positions in every part of production.  Opera Auditions and sponsored events are open to all of the student body.
